Two things are common in all of these categories: teaching and learning.

Karla Charboneau is a wonderfully talented woman. She owned and operated a day care center out of her family home for years. Karla has taught hundreds of kids and also raised three terrific kids of her own. After closing her day care center she decided to pursue a career in Christian counseling. She earned her undergraduate degree and master’s degree from Logos Christian College from Jacksonville Florida, and now helps tons of families through House of Hope Wichita.

Nicki Austin graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 2002. She loves taking care of people and decided to be a Physician’s Assistant. She got her training at the University of Oklahoma Medical School. Nicki is not only a successful health care professional, but also a loving mother, wife, and friend.

I have known Heather Sutherlin nearly 18 years now. We are friends and sisters. Heather graduated from Harding University in 199? with a degree in elementary education. She uses her degree to teach her 3 wonderful children at home. Her knowledge and experience are wonderful tools for us here at Your Homeroom.

I’ve talked a little about Aaron Pogue already. Most days he can be found on his blog, Unstressed Syllables. From the beginning of our relationship, Aaron has been a writer. He writes poetry, essays and novels; writing is part of who he is. He has the great ability to persuade, to build great emotion, to create fantastic worlds with words. He uses this skill with our children and I see their imaginations flourish and their knowledge grow.
